The Second Grade team decided this year to assign reading only for homework every night.  We will not be sending home paper and pencil work.  The exceptions to this policy  may be unfinished work from the classroom or a special project or two.  In addition, we will have three Secret Pal weeks, which will involve preparing surprises for their Secret Pals.

Our hope is that this new policy will allow parents to spend more quality time with their children; eating dinner, playing games, and reading together.  Our vision includes a cozy image of families reading together every single night which, hopefully, will instill a lifelong love of reading in our students.
